I greatly enjoy sharing my work through presentations and workshops for all ages!

School or Library Visit:

Typically a school or library visit is 45-60 minutes. I share with the audience the steps and stages I take in creating a picture book through slides, Q&A, a drawing demonstration and a chance for the students to draw. A reading of one of my books may be done through slides for audiences of 60 or more. Presentations may be customized as needed. Please let me know if you would like a particular focus.

Audience Size:

A maximum of 120 students seem to work well for a school or library visit. The gym is fine if a microphone can be provided.

Things I Will Need for a Presentation:

  • A very long extension cord. I bring my own projector.
  • A table or cart for my projector.
  • A screen.
  • A room that can be darkened.
  • A flipchart with solid back for drawing on.
  • Flipchart paper. I bring my own markers.
  • A table to display 5-8 books.
  • 8 1/2 x 11 inch paper for the students to draw on. Two sheets per child should be fine.
  • Something age appropriate for the students to draw with. Erasers are not needed.

Could the last two items not be handed out until requested. This avoids rattling and tapping during the presentation segment.
